Peters Township, PA : Saint Thomas woman killed in a crash near James Buchanan High School in Franklin County on Friday, April 22, 2016

State police in Chambersburg identified a Saint Thomas woman killed in a crash near James Buchanan High School in Franklin County.

Police said Violet Clark died of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash that happened at around 5:20 p.m. on April 22 on the 4000 block of Fort Loudon Road. Clark was exiting the high school in her 2001 Pontiac Grand Am when her car was struck by a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Genine Norton of Fort Loudon.

Police said Clark failed to stop at a stop sign, did not see Norton's Jeep and turned onto Fort Loudon Road in front of the oncoming vehicle. Norton's Jeep struck Clark's Grand Am, police said.

Clark was extricated from her car and airlifted to Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where she died from her injuries on Monday. Norton and a child riding with her were wearing seat belts and were not injured.
