Pineville, KY : Three people died in a head-on collision on U.S. 119 in Bell County on Wednesday evening, October 12, 2016
Kentucky State Police say a head-on collision in southeastern Kentucky has killed three people.
Police said in a news release that Trooper George Howard came upon the crash Wednesday evening while traveling on U.S. 119 in Bell County. A preliminary investigation found that the driver of a Toyota Rav 4 crossed the center line and hit a Toyota Camry.
Police said the driver of the Camry, 51-year-old William Hampton of Calvin, and his wife, 53-year-old Dena Hampton, were killed in the crash along with the driver of the Rav 4, 51-year-old Bobby Miller of Loyall. Police say both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation.
