Derry, N.H : One person died in fiery car crash on Lane Road Wednesday morning, December 2, 2015

Derry police said a speeding car crashed into a tree Wednesday morning and caught fire, killing one person.

Police said no one saw the accident happen on Lane Road, but another driver spotted the fire.

The crash was so violent and the fire was so intense that investigators weren't initially able to get close to the car.

Authorities said they believe the car may be a Porsche.

The identity of the driver was not released pending notification of family members.

Police said there was no indication that any other car was involved. They said the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle at the time.
