Salt Lake City, UT : Truck crashes into cement barrier in Kearns, 2 seriously injured on Tuesday, 4th October 2016

A truck collided with a concrete traffic barrier in Kearns late Tuesday morning, seriously injuring two people.

Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke said the 8:17 a.m. crash occurred at 4830 West and 4865 South.

Initially reported as a two-vehicle collision, Lohrke later confirmed that the accident actually involved only the truck.

The 28-year-old male driver and a 14-year-old female passenger were taken by ambulance to the hospital in serious condition.

Traffic through the area was diverted by the investigation got underway and debris cleared from the scene.
