Venice, FL : Two people injured in two-vehicle crash on Center Road and U.S. 41 Bypass Thursday morning September 24 2015.

Two people were injured Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Center Road and U.S. 41 Bypass.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol:
Brian Keith Denning, 50, of Venice drove his Toyota Camry into the path of another car. Denning was driving northbound on U.S. 41 in the middle southbound lane approaching the intersection with Center Road. His collided with a 2012 Lexus driven by Earl Eugene Ephlin, 87, of Venice in the westbound lanes of Center Road
Denning was taken to Venice Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Ephlin, who was seriously injured, was flown by helicopter to Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
Denning faces charges of driving on the wrong lane or side, the FHP report said.
The crash, which occurred at about 10:30 a.m., backed up traffic at the busy intersection for several hours.
