WEBB, NY : 2 men, including Macedon man, killed in snowmobile crash in Adirondacks on Thursday, 4th March 2021

Two men, including a Macedon man, were killed when their snowmobiles collided in the Adirondacks.

It happened at around 10:45 p.m. Thursday on the connector trail between North Street/Trail 1 and State Route 28.

Town of Webb Police say Jason Sasso, 39, of Saugerties, Ulster County was headed toward State Route 28 at the same time that Douglas Wilbert, 42, of Macedon was headed toward the Trail 5 entrance. The two collided.

Police say the snowmobiles’ skis traveled up and over the machines, striking both of the drivers.
