Callaway County, MO : Illinois woman dies on eastbound I-70 in Callaway County on Tuesday, 11th September 2018

An Illinois woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night on eastbound I-70 in Callaway County.

Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred around 10:18 p.m.

Ariel Perkins, 21, used an emergency turn-around to travel from the westbound to the eastbound lanes and was struck by a vehicle driven by Michael Smith, 25, of Olathe, Kansas.

Perkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
