Augusta, KS : One injured after a one-vehicle accident near Augusta on Tuesday night, May 3, 2016

One man was sent to the hospital after a one-vehicle accident Tuesday night near Augusta.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Keith Arlen Urbanek, 79, of Wichita, was driving his 2005 Toyota Avalon northbound on SW Santa Fe Lake Road from U.S. 54. After passing SW 90th, the vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch embankment and became airborne. The vehicle took a nose dive in the air and impacted the ground with the front bumper before skidding and coming to a rest on its wheels.

Urbanek was taken to the hospital.
