DUBUQUE, IA : 5-year-old seriously injured in two-vehicle Dubuque crash involving impaired driver on Monday, 30th September 2024

A 5-year-old sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Dubuque on Monday involving an impaired driver who is facing several charges.

The crash happened at 3:17 p.m. at Northwest Arterial and Pennsylvania Avenue, with first responders diverting traffic in the area for an hour before reopening the intersection.

Dubuque Police say that a white sedan operated by 65-year-old Tamara Hultquist of Muscatine was traveling eastbound on Pennsylvania and continued through the intersection.

At that time, a black sedan operated by 33-year-old Jayme Hulsey of Dubuque traveling westbound on Pennsylvania attempted to make a left turn onto Northwest Arterial, causing the vehicles to crash.
