Kansas City,MO : Man killed, woman hurt in Kansas City double shooting on September, Thursday 7th 2017

Kansas City Police are investigating a double shooting where a man died and a woman was rushed to the hospital, but she is expected to survive. FOX 4's Robert Townsend reports they were in a car and crashed behind a house after the shooting, the man was declared dead at the scene.

Police dispatchers say that the shooting happened in the area of 38th Street and South Benton. Neighbors said that they heard at least four gunshots a short time after 9 p.m.

The only suspect description provided so far is that witnesses saw a white vehicle flee the scene after the shots were fired. This is Kansas City's 105th homicide of the year, compared to 79 on the same date in 2016.
