Carbondale, IL : Victim identified in fatal crash in rural Williamson County on April, Sunday 10th 2017

A 41-year-old Marion man has been identified as the person who died in Sunday night's single-vehicle crash in rural Willliamson County.

Stewart Lasswell died in the crash, according to staff at Murman & Wilson Funeral Home in Johnston City. Funeral arrangements for Lasswell, which are incomplete, are being handled by the funeral home.

According to a joint news release Monday from the Williamson County Coroner's Office and the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle, occupied only by Lasswell, left the road and crashed into a tree on Sunday night.

The crash happened on Old Frankfort Road, south of Fowler School Road in the area of Whiteash.
