Shawnee, OK : Seminole woman died in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. 177 in Lincoln County on Wednesday afternoon, May 18, 2016

A Seminole woman died Wednesday afternoon in a one-vehicle crash in Lincoln County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

The accident occurred about 5:05 p.m. on U.S. 177 under the Turner Turnpike, about 1.5 miles from Warwick.

A 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Felicia M. Echelle, 38, was southbound on U.S. 177 when the SUV departed the roadway to the left into a ditch and continued south, the OHP reported.

Troopers said the SUV struck a concrete wall connected to the tunnel that goes underneath the Turner Turnpike.

Echelle was pronounced dead at the scene by Chandler EMS.

Cause of the collision was listed on the trooper's report as speeding.

Seat belts were not in use, the patrol noted.
