Lebanon, MO : Man hurt in accident on Missouri 64 on Friday, 23rd September 2016
A Lebanon man wrecked his truck because of a medical issue and had to be flown to a Springfield hospital for treatment, according to the highway patrol.
At about 2:41 p.m. Friday, Francis Lewis, 88, of Lebanon, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado on Missouri 64 about 2.5 miles west of Lebanon when he “suffered from a medical issue.” Lewis’ truck ran off the north side of the road, struck a parked 2004 Hyundai Sonata and a tree before coming to a stop, a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report says.
Lewis, who was not wearing a seat belt, received serious injuries in the wreck. He was flown by helicopter to Mercy Hospital Springfield for treatment. The report does not name his initial medical issue.
