Tangipahoa Parish , LA : 55 -Years old man killed in Single Vehicle Crash after his 2001 Mercury Marquis veered off the roadway and struck a culvert and overturned on Thursday night , ebruary 12th 2015
A Loranger man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Tangipahoa Parish Thursday night (Feb. 12), Louisiana State Police said. Driver impairment and a failure to wear a seat belt are suspected as factors in the deadly crash, State Police said.
The man was identified as Craig Chapman, 55.
State Police said Chapman was driving west on Louisiana 442 near Louisiana 1065 around 6:15 p.m. when his 2001 Mercury Marquis veered off the roadway and struck a culvert and overturned The investigation into the crash is continuing, State Police said.
Chapman was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's office, State Police said.
State Police said driver impairment is suspected and toxicology tests are pending. The investigation into the crash is continuing, State Police said.
