Alexandria, MN : Man killed in ATV crash in central Minnesota on Saturday, July 30, 2016
The 45-year-old Hoffman man who died when his all-terrain vehicle was hit by a car Saturday has been identified.
Patrick Anderson was killed in the crash near Kensington. The crash happened about 8 p.m. when a John Deere Gator ATV and a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am collided head-on on Highway 55 west of Kensington.
Kensington is about 20 miles southwest of Alexandria.
The Pontiac, driven by 21-year-old Eric Blehr of Kensington, was driving northwest on Highway 55 and the Gator, driven by 45-year-old of Hoffman, was traveling southeast on Highway 55.
The crash occurred when Anderson attempted to turn east down a side road and crossed in front of the Pontiac, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Anderson died at the scene.
Blehr suffered serious injuries, and his two passengers, 11-year-old Ellie Blehr-Larson of Kensington and 13-year-old Kaylee Trousil of Alexandria, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
