Jamestown, N.D : Two teens injured in I-94 crash just west of Jamestown on Friday, March 10, 2017

Two unidentified 15-year-old girls, one of them from West Fargo, were injured in a crash about 5:20 p.m. Friday, March 10, on Interstate 94 near Jamestown.

The West Fargo teen was driving eastbound when the 2013 Ford Fiesta she was driving left the road and entered the south ditch about a half mile west of Jamestown, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported. She then the overcorrected the car and it struck a support pole for an exit sign, the Patrol said.

Both the driver and her passenger were taken by Jamestown Ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The driver was later airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Distracted driving is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash, the Patrol reported.
