LEBANON, TN : Woman killed in crash on Old Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon on Monday, 7th November 2016

At least one person was killed in a crash in Lebanon late Monday morning.

The wreck happened just after 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Old Murfreesboro Road and Stumpy Lane.

Lebanon police said a yellow Nissan Xterra was traveling southbound on Murfreesboro Road when it veered into oncoming traffic. A Purity Dairy truck tried to avoid hitting the Xterra, but was struck head-on.

The driver of the Xterra, 40-year-old Stacy Slate, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and the passenger of the Purity Dairy truck were examined by medical personnel and released at the scene.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
