Hiliard, FL : Georgia motorcyclist died in crash with car in a Nassau County on Tuesday, Aug 11, 2015

A Georgia motorcyclist was killed Tuesday in a Nassau County crash when he struck a car turning left in his path in Hilliard, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Forrest Allan Maxwell, 52, of Hartsfield was eastbound on County Road 108 about 4:30 p.m. when a car driven by Kathy Ann Rozar, 53, of Hilliard turned left from the westbound lane onto Eastwood Road. Rozar failed to see the motorcycle approaching, investigators said.

Maxwell’s motorcycle struck the right front of Rozar’s car. He died at the scene.

Rozar and passenger Lindsey Register, 15, of Baldwin, were not injured.

Maxwell was not wearing a helmet, according to the Highway Patrol.
