Gaston County, N.C : Woman killed after car flips, catches fire in Gaston County on Thursday morning, December 4, 2014

North Carolina Highway Patrol troopers said a truck flipped several times then caught fire, claiming the life of the woman in Gaston County Thursday morning. Firefighters and emergency workers responded to the crash just before 10 a.m. on Brookshire Blvd. near North Bend Beach Road. Troopers told that the woman was driving north on Brookshire Blvd. when her vehicle left the highway and overturned several times. Eventually, the roof caught fire and the truck landed against a tree. Emergency workers arrived and tried to help the woman, but said she was already dead. Investigators don't know what caused the woman’s vehicle to leave the road and that an autopsy will help them determine that. Officials have not released the woman’s name.
