LAS VEGAS, NV : Las Vegas police investigate fatal roll-over crash Desert Inn near Strip on Saturday, 7th September 2024

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal roll-over crash on Sept. 6.

Police responded to a crash just before 11 p.m. on East Desert Inn Rd, near Channel 8 Dr.

According to police, video surveillance showed a 2006 Infinity G35 traveling eastbound in the middle of three lanes.

A dark-colored SUV was also in the middle of three lanes traveling east on Desert Inn just ahead of the Infinity.

Police say the Infinity was going at a higher rate of speed when it approached the SUV.

The Infinity swerved to avoid hitting the SUV but hit the left rear of the SUV causing it to lose control and rotate clockwise, officials say.

LVMPD says the Infinity drifted right and hit the barrier causing it to overturn.
