Willoughby, OH : Two Perry teens died in a crash on May, Wednesday, 24th 2017
Two Perry teens died in a crash May 24 on U.S. Route 322 in Claridon Township, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol Chardon Post release.
According to the OHP:
A 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt was driven by Myka Gray, 18, of Perry, and her passenger was Kayleigh O’Brien, 19, also of Perry.
The second vehicle involved was a 2012 GMC Acadia driven by Pamela Wadsworth, 35, of Chardon. The passenger in the Acadia was her 6-year-old son.
The investigation shows at 4:31 p.m., the Cobalt was traveling south on Aquilla Road, when it failed to stop at the stop sign at Route 322. The Acadia was traveling west on Route 322. The Acadia struck the Cobalt in the driver’s door.
All occupants involved were taken by EMS to University Hospitals Geauga ER.
Both the driver and passenger of the Cobalt were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
The occupants of the Acadia sustained minor injuries.
Seat belts were in use by all occupants. Alcohol or Drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
