Alcohol or drugs are believed to have played a factor in a car crash that injured three teenagers, according to the Stark County Sheriff'S Office.

The crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Julie and Vine streets, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

A 16-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries and was taken to Akron Children's Hospital, the release says.

The 19-year-old driver and an 18-year-old passenger were taken to Aultman Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver drove left of center, lost control of the car and hit the corner of a driveway. The car went airborne and flipped multiple times, the release says. The release does not say which direction the car was going.

Charges against the driver are pending.

The investigation is ongoing.
