One person died early Wednesday in a fiery rear-end collision caused by a suspected drunken driver, according to Warren police.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Eight Mile at Sunset, near Ryan, Warren Police Lt. Steve Colegio said. The victim’s vehicle caught fire after being rear-ended by the suspected drunken driver. The victim did not survive and the suspect was arrested.
“She’s basically in custody at this time,” Colegio said of the suspect. “She’s getting treatment (for injuries), but she won’t be hospitalized.”
There was no further information immediately available on the victim or suspect. The crash remains under investigation.
