Seymour ,TN : Sevierville man killed after riding in truck bed in single truck accident on Sunday morning ,July 5th 2015
A Sevierville man was killed after a single truck accident near Creekside Village Way in Seymour on Sunday morning.
Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers reported to the scene around 2:00 a.m. Randall Kennedy, 40, was driving a truck with two passengers sitting in the truck bed.
Officials say the car in front of Kennedy slammed on it's breaks, causing Kennedy to swerve into another lane. According to troopers, Bradley Justus, 34, jumped out of the truck just as Kennedy was reversing and was struck by the truck, killing him.
Cassie Ingle, 31, was also riding in the truck bed and was not injured.
Officials do not believe that alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident. Charges and citations are currently pending.
