Laredo, TX : DPS IDs man killed in vehicle crash near Cotulla on Saturday, March 4th 2017

A man who died Saturday in a vehicle crash in La Salle County has been identified.
DPS identified the deceased as Froylan Tirado Hernandez, 62, of Gardendale, located near Midland.
The crash was reported at about 6 a.m. on Interstate 35, about 3 miles north of Cotulla.
Preliminary reports show a 1994 Kenworth truck hauling a semitrailer was traveling north near mile marker 71 of I-35. DPS Sgt. Conrad J. Hein said a 2013 Chevrolet pickup traveling in the same direction and struck the back of the trailer.
Authorities identified the driver of the pickup as Hernandez. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers continue to investigate the case.
