Hazleton, PA : Driver to hospital after crash into tree on Sunday, 2nd October 2016
A man was taken to a hospital for unknown injuries after he crashed a sedan on East Broad Street around 9 p.m. Sunday.
Deputy Fire Chief Shawn Jones said it appeared the driver lost control of the vehicle, spun and then crashed backward into a tree. The tree ripped into the car’s trunk, and the vehicle sustained severe rear-end damage. The tree was only nicked after the crash, Jones said.
The driver wasn’t on scene when emergency responders arrived, Jones said. He was later found in the area of the crash, and American Patient Transport Systems Inc. transported him to a hospital for treatment.
Hazleton police, who are investigating, have not released other details including the man’s name.
