Jeanerette, LA : 32-year-old Donald Williams Jr. dies in a single car crash on Highway 674 in Iberia Parish on Monday morning, February 23, 2015

State police says a 32-year-old Jeanerette man died in a single car crash on Louisiana Highway 674 in Iberia Parish.

Master Trooper Brooks David says Donald Williams Jr. was westbound on Highway 674 early Monday morning when his Cadillac CTS ran off the road struck a mailbox and a ditch embankment before finally coming to a stop in a parking lot.

David said Williams was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the vehicle. He says Williams was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
