BELMONT, NC : Man killed in I-85 crash near Belmont on Saturday, 2nd March 2024

Southbound lanes of Interstate 85 closed to traffic for about seven hours on Saturday morning as detectives investigated a deadly crash near Belmont.

At around 1:45 a.m. officers with the Belmont Police Department responded to a crash on I-85 South at the Belmont Mt. Holly Rd. Bridge.

When officers arrived, they said they found a man in the road who had died at the scene.
