FOXBORO, MA : 5 hurt after head-on crash involving ambulance on Thursday, 22nd February 2024

Five people were taken to the hospital, including a child, after a serious crash in Foxboro Thursday night, according to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.

Police shut down part of Main Street (Route 140) after a Honda Pilot SUV and a Brewster ambulance crashed head-on shortly before 7 p.m.

The DA’s office said the injured included two Emergency Medical Technicians, both in their mid-20s, who were staffing the ambulance and a patient in his 70s being transported at the time.

The Honda was being driven by a 40-year-old mother with her daughter in the back seat. The child was transported by helicopter to the Massachusetts General Hospital to undergo advanced treatment.

The crash remains under investigation and no charges were immediately filed.
