Council Bluffs, IA : Two drivers injured after head-on collision on Avenue G viaduct on Tuesday, March 29, 2016

Two drivers were taken to Nebraska Medical Center after a head-on collision on the Avenue G viaduct.
At roughly 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Council Bluffs police officers were called to the viaduct for a two-car accident.
According to police, a 2004 Acura, driven by Heather Wilkerson, crossed the center line and struck a 2008 Kia minivan, driven by Diane Nelson. Wilkerson, 27, was trapped in her vehicle and was extricated by the Council Bluffs Fire Department.
Both Nelson, 59, and Wilkerson were taken by ambulance to Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition.
No charges were filed in the accident, but the investigation remains ongoing, said Council Bluffs Police Sgt. Jason Bailey.
