An off-duty Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was involved in a crash in northwest Charlotte Wednesday morning.
The officer reportedly swerved to avoid hitting a car and slammed into a utility pole. It happened around 6:30 a.m. on Brookshire Boulevard at Lawton Road, causing some delays in the area.
The officer wasn't seriously injured in the crash.
Duke Energy crews responded to the area to repair the utility pole.
