Lancaster motorcyclist killed after losing control on 14 Freeway

A 43-year-old male motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle crash at an onramp to the southbound 14 Freeway in Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol said today.
The victim was identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office as Nicholas Wilson, of Lancaster.

CHP Officer David Veliz said Wilson lost control of the motorcycle, a 2002 Suzuki, on the southbound onramp from eastbound Avenue D, and struck a guardrail alongside the onramp around 10 p.m. Friday.

Wilson was wearing a helmet, and speed may have been a factor in the crash, Veliz said.
