LIVE OAK, FL : Friday accident halts traffic on Friday, 23rd September 2016
A two vehicle accident Friday afternoon ended with both drivers only receiving minor injuries, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.
Richard Harrison, 55, of Ormand Beach, was traveling north on U.S. 129 Friday afternoon.
Amber Alexander, 34, of Maxville was traveling south on U.S. 129.
At 1:30 p.m. at the I-10 intersection, Harrison made a u-turn.
As Harrison’s vehicle was entering the left southbound lane of US 129, the left front of Alexander’s car hit the right front side of Harrison’s.
Harrison’s vehicle then rotated counterclockwise, with its right rear bumper hitting the left rear of Alexander’s.
Traffic at the intersection was stalled for more than an hour.
Harrison was taken to Shands Live Oak with minor injuries.
Alexander was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
