Aspinwall, PA : A man killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday, July 11, 2017

Officials have identified a man killed in a head-on collision with a police cruiser early Tuesday in Butler County.

Joseph Hufnagel, 47, was headed east around a curve on Route 228 in Middlesex about 6:30 a.m. when his Toyota Tacoma pickup crossed the center line and plowed into a state police SUV headed in the opposite direction, according to a state police release.

Police said Hufnagel, of Butler, was ejected from the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
