Bristol, TN : Route 72 in Bristol reopened after serious crash on Tuesday, 11th February, 2020

A 56-year-old man has died after he crashed his car into a utility pole Tuesday morning on Broad Street in Bristol.
The man was driving on Broad Street, or Route 72, just after 9:20 a.m. Tuesday when his car left the road and struck the pole, Lt. Michael Duval said. His was the only car involved in the crash.
The man was transported to an area hospital where he later died, Duval said. The man was was not identified Tuesday pending notification of his family.
The road was closed for the remainder of the morning between Emmett and King streets and reopened at noon, police said.
The Bristol Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team was still investigating the cause of the crash late Tuesday and anyone with information about it is asked to contact police at 860-584-3030.
