Columbus, OH : Victim in fatal motorcycle crash identified on Saturday, 24th September 2016

Police are looking for witnesses to a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday in Walnut Hills that left a 43-year-old man dead.

Officials said Ladevan Johnson, of Clifton Heights, was the driver of the Kawasaki ZX1400 motorcycle that struck a pole and a tree off East McMillan Street. According to a news release from the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit, Johnson lost control of the motorcycle before crashing.

The news release said excessive speed was a likely cause. Johnson was not wearing a helmet, police said.

The crash happened at about 6 p.m. near the corner of East McMillan and Kenton streets.
