Pensacola, FL : Man killed in crash at Gulf Beach Highway and Bauer Road on Wednesday, April 5, 2017

A Pensacola man was killed in a crash on Wednesday evening at Gulf Beach Highway and Bauer Road.

Anthony Wayne Mandel Jr., 34, was driving southbound on Bauer Road approaching the intersection of Gulf Beach Highway at about 9:10 p.m. when he failed to stop at the stop sign and then tried to turn left onto the highway, according to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

His 1996 Jeep Cherokee overturned, and Mandel was ejected from the vehicle.

A passenger, Kyler Jacob Deel, 24, was not injured in the crash.
