Tacoma, WI : Motorcyclist seriously injured in Graham crash on Monday afternoon, August 22, 2016
A 60-year-old Roy motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a collision with a pickup in Graham, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The State Patrol is investigating the crash on Meridian Avenue East and 274th Street East, which happened about 2 p.m., Trooper Todd Bartolac said.
The Roy man was riding south on Meridian at the intersection with 274th Street when the northbound truck, driven by a 55-year-old Rainier man, turned left in front of him, according to a State Patrol news release.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike, which was totaled, the release said.
He was transported to Harborview Medical Center by helicopter, Bartolac said.
The State Patrol had to alternate traffic through the intersection for about two hours.
