Jasper County, SC : Indiana State Trooper seriously injured in crash Jasper County on Wednesday October 28 2015

An Indiana State Trooper was involved in a serious crash around 5:20 a.m. Wednesday in Jasper County.
According to State Police, 25-year-old Trooper Bran Goubeaux was westbound on State Road 10 and pulled to the right side of the road with his emergency lights on to make to U-turn with the intent of heading eastbound after a violator. A semi — driven by 75-year-old Curtis H. Jackson of Brook, Indiana — was also traveling westbound and was unable to avoid Goubeaux' cruiser. The semi crashed into the driver's-side of the police car, pushing it into the eastbound lanes.
Jackson was hauling 20,000 pounds of empty wooden spools to Itasca, Ill.
Goubeaux had to be extricated from his car. He was airlifted to Advocate Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Ill. with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Jackson was not injured.
