TUCSON, AZ : Fatal motorcycle crash on Tucsons southwest side on Friday, 16th February 2024

A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Tucson's southwest side Friday.

Tucson Police tells News 4 Tucson the accident happened on West Ajo Highway and South La Cholla Blvd on Friday just before 7 p.m.

Upon arrival, TFD pronounced the motorcyclist deceased.

The motorcyclist was identified as 51-year-old Joseph Henry Gill III.

Witness interviews conducted by officers determined the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet pickup was traveling eastbound on Ajo Way attempting to turn onto northbound La Cholla Blvd. As the truck attempted to turn left on a passive green traffic signal, it collided with Mr. Gill.
