HANCOCK, MD : Semi crash shuts down westbound I-70 near Hancock on Tuesday, 10th March, 2020

A tractor-trailer that fell on its side on an Interstate 68 ramp along westbound Interstate 70 earlier in the day has been removed from the scene, according to a Maryland State Police spokesman.

The spokesman said at 6:50 p.m. that a load of steel that was being transported in the rig has been moved onto a shoulder.

A crew is expected to return to the scene Wednesday to pick up the steel, the spokesman said.

No one was injured in the crash, which happened about 2:16 p.m.
