A police officer and three suspects crashed their cars during a chase in Warren County Saturday night.
Franklin police said the incident began about 10 p.m. when a Franklin officer stopped a 2003 Ford 4-door on Commerce Center Drive. As the officer walked up to the driver’s window, the Ford sped off.
The vehicles went eastbound on State Route 73 into Springboro. The officer lost control at Clearcreek-Franklin Road and landed in the ditch on the north side of the roadway. The officer was transported to Sycamore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
Meanwhile, the suspects continued eastbound on St Rt 73. Clearcreek police picked up the chase and the suspects' vehicle crashed in Lebanon.
Three people were taken into custody.
