Logan Canyon, UT : Woman injured in a rollover crash closes down Logan Canyon highway on Wednesday morning, October 29, 2014

A single-vehicle rollover crash closed down both lanes of U.S. 89 near the summit of Logan Canyon late Wednesday morning. Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce said a car left the roadway at 10:10 a.m. near mile marker 489, rolled and crashed. Though the woman was conscious and communication with emergency workers, the decision was made to fly her by helicopter to the hospital. Royce said the highway was closed down primarily to allow the helicopter a place to land. UHP reported that rescuers had to extricate the woman from the wreckage, and that she initially was listed on serious condition. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
