Police in Cincinnati say a Motorcycle officer is in Critical condition after he was struck by a car while leading a funeral procession.
Witnesses say a driver turned into the procession Saturday afternoon, sending the retired officer into the air before he hit the pavement.
Police identified the officer as 63-year-old George Brooks who retired as a lieutenant from the Forest Park Police Department.
He is in critical condition at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Members of the procession and witnesses say the motorcycle officer had his lights and siren on when the crash happened near downtown Cincinnati.
Police say they have spoken with the driver of the car but have not filed any charges.
