KERSHAW COUNTY, SC : Man charged after woman killed in collision in Kershaw County on U.S. Highway 1 on Saturday, 15th June 2019

A 31-year-old man has been charged following a deadly crash that killed a woman on U.S. Highway 1 early Saturday morning.
Officials said Marlon Williams has been charged with felony DUI involving death, two counts of felony DUI involving bodily injury, and leaving the scene of an accident.
The woman who died has been identified by Kershaw County Coroner David West as 38-year-old Maggie Ann Long of Bishopville.
Around 3:55 a.m., Long and two other passengers were traveling north on Jefferson Davis Highway in a 2007 Toyota SUV when her vehicle was struck from behind. by a Chevy Tahoe, according to officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Officials said the SUV ran into a tree after being hit.
Long was pronounced dead at the scene.
