One person is dead after a Thursday morning crash in Cherryville.
Trooper Robert Rogers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed the crash happened around 8:41 a.m. Highway 150 near Bud Black Road, just outside of city limits.
According to troopers, a Chevrolet pickup truck veered left of center and hit a Kia head-on. The driver of the Kia, Loretta Bradley Howell, was killed at the scene.
