Colfax, WA : 20-year-old woman killed in a two-car crash on state Route 26 west of Colfax on Sunday afternoon, Nov 22, 2015

A 20-year-old woman was killed Sunday afternoon in a two-car crash 16 miles west of Colfax on state Route 26.

Morgan K. Cope, 20, of Buckley, Washington, died at the scene, the Washington State Patrol said.

Cope’s car was struck by a pickup truck driven by Jason R. Wigen, 18, of La Crosse, Washington, the WSP said. Wigen’s vehicle crossed the centerline and struck Cope’s car in the westbound lanes, investigators said.

Wigen was injured and taken by Medstar to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

The highway in Whitman County was blocked from 1:47 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
