Leavenworth, WA : 9-year-old girl killed after being hit by car in Leavenworth on Wednesday, 25th July 2018

A 9-year-old girl was killed after being hit by a car in Leavenworth Wednesday night.

The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office said the girl was riding her bike on Icicle Road near Prowell when she was struck by a passing car at around 6:30 pm. A Chelan County Deputy happened to be near the area for a different call and witnessed the crash. The deputy immediately called for medical aid and additional deputies while beginning life-saving measures, however, attempts to save the girl were unsuccessful and she died.

An investigation is being conducted with the assistance of the Washington State Patrol. The driver of the car did not show any signs of impairment.
