NASHVILLE, TN : Wrong-way crash on I-40 east blocks roadway, now clear on Wednesday, December 21st 2016

Interstate 40 near Charlotte Avenue has reopened following a wrong-way crash early Wednesday morning.

The accident was reported just after 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver was headed west in the eastbound lanes and hit another car head-on near exit 209A.

Two people have been transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
