Kansas City, KS : Speed a factor in fiery motorcycle crash on February, Tuesday 27th 2018

A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday evening when he lost control navigating a curve on 14th Street near Pennsylvania Avenue.

Kansas City police said witnesses observed the motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on 14th.

The motorcycle struck a curb and a chain link fence along a bridge in the area. The motorcycle then burst into flames, police said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released by authorities.
